Setting up email clients — ports and server addresses

Below you will find everything you need to set up your rhoster mailbox in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, on your phone or in any other email app.

Configuration details

Incoming mail

IMAP serverimap.yourdomain.com
IMAP port993

Outgoing mail

SMTP serversmtp.yourdomain.com
SMTP SSL465
SMTP STARTTLS587
Simplest option: use IMAP, port 993 for incoming mail and SMTP, port 465 for sending. Enable SSL/TLS encryption.

Username and password

For the username, enter your full email address, e.g. office@yourdomain.com. The password is the one set for that mailbox.

Enable authentication for the SMTP server. In most cases the app should use the same username and password as for incoming mail.

Step-by-step setup

Add a new email account. If the app does not detect the settings automatically, choose manual setup.
For the username, enter your full email address, e.g. office@yourdomain.com, and your mailbox password.
For incoming mail, set imap.yourdomain.com, IMAP, port 993, with SSL/TLS.
For outgoing mail, set smtp.yourdomain.com and SMTP port 465 or 587. Enable SMTP authentication.

Examples by app

Outlook

Add an email account. If Outlook does not set it up automatically, choose advanced setup / IMAP and enter the details from the section above.

Apple Mail / iPhone / iPad

Add the account as “Other” and choose Mail account. For the incoming mail server, enter imap.yourdomain.com, and for the outgoing server smtp.yourdomain.com.

Thunderbird

After entering your address and password, choose manual configuration. Set IMAP to 993 and SMTP to 465 or 587.

Android

In your email app, choose an IMAP account. Use imap.yourdomain.com:993 for receiving and smtp.yourdomain.com:465 or :587 for sending.

Email not working?

First, check whether the mailbox itself works. Sign in to webmail in your browser at poczta.yourdomain.com using your full email address and password.

Webmail sign-in works? Your mailbox and password are fine, so the problem is in your email app’s settings. Check that the username is your full email address, that the server addresses and ports match the details above, that SMTP authentication is enabled and that the app uses SSL/TLS encryption.
Can’t sign in to webmail either? Check that your email address and password are correct. If they are, the problem is with the mailbox itself and changing your email app will not help.
If you still cannot send or receive email, contact the administrator of your rhoster service. Tell them which email app you use, the error message, and whether webmail sign-in works.
